How I got this shot

under the canopy

My favorite way to travel is to get out of the city.  Without the light pollution the stars seem to dance in the sky above.  We stopped at a free camp near Margaret River Australia for a night and the world above was mesmerizing, I just had to capture it.   To get this shot I put the camera down on the top of the car and took 3 consecutive long exposure shots in a row.  Later I stacked them in Photoshop to help get rid of the noise from using a high ISO.  I love the amount of stars the camera picked up and was surprised by the light reflecting off the trees from other campers.  Just another beautiful night in the country with the canopy overhead.
